"Firstly you need to somehow train yourself on how to react following a break up. If you can master this you will improve your chances in getting your ex back."

I couldn't agree more! And the operative words are 'train yourself'

Sadly I so often see people let the sad circumstances of a break up overwhelm them and they drift into a downward spiral of low confidence ans shattered self esteem, rather than taking a grip on the situation and 'training themselves' to remain confident, and to hold onto the high self esteem that's needed to do so.

Maintaining a positive attitude, and using affirmations to boost the self image goes a long way, as you say, towards maintaining the confidence you need to win an ex back.
